Court adjourns Wike son’s $2.1m land case to December 1
An Abuja High Court has adjourned further hearing in the alleged $2.1 million land transaction case involving Jordan Wike to December 1.
Jordan Wike, son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, appeared before the court in Maitama in a suit filed by Safwan Garba and G.Y. Global Oil & Gas Nigeria Limited.
The claimants alleged that he accepted $2.1 million from them for a real estate venture that required him to supply land for commercial residential properties. Premium Times reported that he presented his American passport in court on Wednesday after an earlier order by Justice Sylvanus Oriji.
Vanguard reported that the court adjourned the matter after the sitting. Premium Times said the hearing continued with questions from the claimants in the civil dispute. The reports describe the matter as a civil recovery case.
The case remains before the FCT High Court. The allegations are before the court and have not been determined.
