APC wins all 17 chairmanship seats in Yobe LG election
The All Progressives Congress has won all 17 chairmanship seats in Yobe State’s local government election held on Saturday.
The Yobe State Independent Electoral Commission also declared APC candidates winners of 176 of the 178 councillorship seats across the state.
YOSIEC chairman Ibrahim Mohammed Yabani announced the results on Sunday in Damaturu after voting, counting, collation and verification. He said 10 political parties took part in the exercise across 178 wards and 17 local government areas.
The commission said the Action Peoples Party won one councillorship seat in Fune LGA, while the Action Democratic Party won one councillorship seat in Karasuwa LGA.
