Two Police Officers Die In Imo Road Accident

Two police officers attached to the Imo State Police Command have died after a road accident involving seven operatives in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area.
The accident occurred on Monday, June 29, along the Amakalu-Umuelemma Road. The command said five other officers involved in the crash were still receiving treatment in hospital.
Police spokesperson DSP Henry Okoye said the command had opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the accident. He said the two officers died while receiving medical treatment.
Commissioner of Police Audu Bosso sent condolences to the families of the deceased officers and prayed for the recovery of the injured personnel, according to reports by Daily Post and Punch.
The command did not give further details on the vehicle involved or the cause of the crash as of Thursday. Both reports based the account on the police statement issued by Okoye.
