Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have rescued 10 National Examinations Council candidates and teachers who were abducted by suspected ISWAP terrorists during an attack on a secondary school in Borno State.

Daily Post reported that the rescue operation was launched after the insurgents attacked the Technical Secondary School in Lassa Community, Askira/Uba Local Government Area, at about 9 a.m. on Monday while students were writing their NECO examination.

According to the report, intelligence sources said troops of Operation Hadin Kai launched a coordinated rescue operation, leading to the safe recovery of 10 of the abducted victims.

Punch also reported the rescue, saying soldiers recovered 10 abducted victims after the Borno ISWAP attack.

The rescue follows the earlier attack reported by NaijaTrend here, in which a teacher was killed and an unspecified number of students were abducted.

Daily Post said efforts are ongoing to locate and rescue any remaining victims, while security operations continue in the area.
