Tinubu Deploys 79 Locally-Assembled Ambulances to Tertiary Hospitals Nationwide
President Bola Tinubu has commissioned and deployed 79 locally-assembled ambulances to tertiary hospitals across Nigeria as part of efforts to improve emergency medical services.
The ambulances, assembled in Nigeria, were distributed to federal teaching hospitals and medical centres nationwide to enhance healthcare delivery and emergency response capacity. The deployment is part of the administration’s broader healthcare infrastructure renewal programme.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the President reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s healthcare system, noting that emergency medical services had received inadequate attention in previous years.
The deployment follows the earlier launch of 145 tricycle ambulances and six boat ambulances for emergency services, which was part of the same initiative to improve emergency response across all terrains in the country.
