Third South Africa Evacuation Flight To Bring 271 Nigerians Home Friday
The Federal Government says a third evacuation flight for Nigerians voluntarily returning from South Africa will arrive in Lagos on Friday with 271 returnees on board.
The update follows NaijaTrend’s earlier report on another evacuation batch from South Africa, available here.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the Air Peace-operated flight would leave Johannesburg at midnight on Thursday and arrive at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at about 5:30 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026.
The ministry’s spokesperson, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, confirmed the schedule in a statement reported by Vanguard and Daily Post.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts to assist Nigerians who opted to return home from South Africa following safety concerns.
