Six Killed As Bandits Sack More Than 30 Villages In Sokoto

At least six residents have been reported killed after bandit attacks forced more than 30 villages in Sokoto State’s Danchadi District to empty out.

The attacks hit communities in Bodinga Local Government Area between Wednesday and Thursday, leaving residents displaced and more than 1,000 animals rustled.

The affected villages were listed in a report by the district authorities. The report said six people were killed in Kyaluje and Dibarke communities, while copies were sent to local police, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Department of State Services.

Residents in the area have faced repeated raids, with families leaving homes and farms as security agencies try to contain attacks across parts of Sokoto and neighbouring North-West states.
