Osun Police Launch Probe Into Shootings, Hunt Suspects
Osun State police command has launched an investigation into shootings that have left several people injured, with operatives already hunting the suspects.
Daily Post reported that the police have begun a manhunt for those behind the incidents. Vanguard also reported that Governor Ademola Adeleke and the APC in the state have traded blame over the violence that erupted during political activities.
The Osun police spokesperson confirmed that an investigation is underway and urged members of the public with information to come forward.
The development adds to growing concerns about political violence in the state ahead of upcoming elections. At least three people were injured in the unrest, with both the ruling party and opposition trading allegations over who was responsible.
