One Killed, Two Injured In Kara Bridge Multi-Vehicle Crash
One person has died and two others were injured after a multiple-vehicle crash on the Kara Bridge section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Friday morning.
The crash involved several articulated trucks, a Toyota Sienna, a Lexus vehicle and a commercial bus in separate incidents around the bridge, causing heavy traffic that stretched towards Otedola Bridge and affected adjoining routes.
Channels TV reported that emergency responders, including the Federal Road Safety Corps and the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, were at the scene to manage traffic and clear wreckage from the expressway.
Daily Trust identified the deceased as a motor boy and also reported the Lagos multiple-vehicle crash. The source pages matched the same location, casualty and emergency-response details.
The incident again exposed how quickly crashes on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway can paralyse movement in and out of Lagos, especially when heavy-duty vehicles are involved on narrow bridge sections.
