Nigerian Navy opens 2026 Batch 39 recruitment
The Nigerian Navy has opened applications for its 2026 Batch 39 Basic Training School recruitment exercise.
The application window runs from October 2 to October 31, 2026. The Navy said qualified Nigerians should apply through its official recruitment portal and should not pay anyone for the process.
Punch and Vanguard reported that applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, have a National Identification Number and meet the educational, age, physical and medical requirements listed in the guideline.
For O’Level applicants, the Navy said candidates must be 18 to 22 years old as of December 31, 2026, and must have at least five credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings. The minimum height requirement is 1.69 metres for males and 1.65 metres for females.
Vanguard reported that separate age and qualification rules apply to candidates with OND and NCE certificates, tradesmen, applicants in medical-related professions and sportsmen and women.
Daily Post reported that only one valid application will be accepted and multiple applications will lead to disqualification. The Navy also said applicants must be able to communicate in basic English.
Applicants who complete the online form are expected to print their acknowledgement, parent or guardian consent, Local Government attestation and guarantor’s certification forms. Vanguard reported that the date and venues for the recruitment examination will be communicated later.
