The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency says it has seized 184.5kg of cocaine valued at about N39bn and arrested two suspected members of a Lagos-based drug cartel.

The agency identified one of the suspects as social media influencer Oguejiofor Uche, popularly known as KC Luxury. It said the seizure followed an operation targeting a courier channel allegedly used to move large consignments of cocaine.

The reports said NDLEA operatives recovered the drugs in Lagos and linked the consignment to a wider cartel network. The agency said investigations were continuing to identify other people connected to the shipment.

The latest seizure comes amid repeated NDLEA operations against cocaine, cannabis and synthetic drug networks across airports, seaports and courier routes. The agency has also warned that traffickers are increasingly using social networks and logistics channels to disguise drug movement.

Both reports described the suspects as alleged cartel members. They have not been convicted, and the allegations will still need to be tested through investigation and any court process that follows.
