Morayo Afolabi-Brown Reacts After Caller Curses Her Over Interview Questions
Television host Morayo Afolabi-Brown has said she received an abusive phone call from a person who cursed her over the questions she asks guests during interviews.
Vanguard and Punch reported that Afolabi-Brown, host of The Morayo Show and former co-host of TVC’s Your View, shared the experience in a video posted on Instagram on Friday.
“I got a call from somebody who rained curses on me. She said, she said, she said, and so many other unprintable words,” she said, according to both reports.
Afolabi-Brown said she had learned to ignore criticism on social media, but the phone call felt different because the caller had direct access to her number.
She asked why she should be attacked for doing her job as an interviewer, saying tough questions are part of the role. Punch reported that she described the call as disturbing, while Vanguard said she questioned what offence she had committed by asking questions or mentioning names during interviews.
The TV host said she did not grow up around people who used curses and was shocked by the personal nature of the attack.
