The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries has intensified prayers against banditry and kidnapping in Nigeria, seeking divine intervention for the release of captives held by criminal groups across the country.

During the church’s special “Manna Water Service” held on Friday, the General Overseer of MFM Worldwide, Dr Daniel Olukoya, led members and viewers worldwide in what he described as “Fire Prayers” against the violence plaguing the nation.

Taking his biblical references from 2 Chronicles 7:14, Olukoya said the targeted prayers were aimed at dismantling the operations of bandits and restoring peace to communities and the nation at large.

“We are in Nigeria here and we have nowhere to run to but we have a weapon of prayer. Prayer can make and unmake, prayer can uproot, prayer can pull down. There is nothing beyond the abilities of our prayers,” Olukoya said.

“So with a voice that roars like thunder and for those that love this country, we want to issue decrees against the rubbish and nonsense the enemies are doing all over. God hears our prayers in Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries because it is not ordinary prayers, they are prayers of Fire.”

He assured Nigerians that God answers prayers in MFM and expressed confidence in divine intervention to end insecurity nationwide.
