JAMB Moves O’Level Upload Online, Ends CBT Centre Visits

Candidates seeking admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions can now verify and upload their O’Level results online without going through Computer-Based Test centres.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board said the new arrangement starts with WAEC results and is meant to reduce the extra cost and pressure candidates face when they need to update their admission records.

Under the process reported by the outlets, a candidate logs in to the JAMB portal, selects the O’Level upload option, pays the approved fee and gives consent for the result to be fetched from the examination body. The board said the result can then be attached to the candidate’s profile without a CBT centre visit.

JAMB said the service would later be extended to other examination bodies after technical integration. The change matters for candidates whose admission processing depends on correct O’Level records, especially those who previously had to return to CBT centres for every upload or verification step.

The board’s public affairs office also warned candidates to use only official channels and to protect their login details when using the new service.
