INEC Display Shows Tinubu Listed No Primary, Secondary School Years On EC9 Form

Documents displayed by the Independent National Electoral Commission show that President Bola Tinubu did not list specific primary and secondary school years on his Form EC9 for the 2027 election.

Daily Post reported that the educational qualifications section listed only his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Chicago State University, obtained in 1979.

Punch and Vanguard also reported that INEC began displaying the personal particulars and credentials submitted by Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima on Saturday.

Punch reported that the years entered for Tinubu’s primary and secondary school attendance were recorded as “0000”, while his university qualification carried a specific year.

The displayed documents also listed Tinubu’s National Youth Service Corps record, his work history at Mobil Nigeria Limited, Lagos State Government and the Federal Government, and his date of birth as March 29, 1952.

Vanguard reported that INEC said the display was in line with Section 29(3) of the Electoral Act, which requires publication of candidates’ particulars after submission by political parties.

Shettima’s displayed documents, according to the same reports, traced his education from primary school through higher education.
