FRSC Promotes 7,472 Personnel Nationwide
The Federal Road Safety Corps has approved the promotion of 7,472 personnel across its officer and marshal cadres.
The figure includes 2,134 officers and 5,338 marshals, according to statements reported by Punch and Daily Post on Friday.
FRSC spokesperson Osondu Ohaeri said the promotions were meant to reward merit, discipline, competence and years of service. He said heads of departments, corps officers, special-unit heads and commanding officers had been directed to decorate the newly promoted personnel in their commands.
The decoration exercise is scheduled to run from Wednesday, August 26, to Friday, August 28. The corps said it expects the promotions to strengthen leadership and improve road safety operations nationwide.
The FRSC also urged the promoted personnel to see the new ranks as a call to higher responsibility, especially in patrol operations, public education and enforcement work on Nigerian roads.
