FG Charges Three Over Oyo Schoolchildren, Teachers Abduction
The Federal Government has filed a 10-count charge against three men over the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The prosecution is a new development after the victims were freed, a story NaijaTrend earlier reported here.
Vanguard and Punch reported that the defendants are Abdulrazak Umar, Yunusa Musa and Shamsu Adamu Sani. The charge was filed before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The counts include terrorism, kidnapping, concealment, incitement and illegal mining. Punch reported that the three men are from Suleja Local Government Area of Niger State.
The charge alleges that the defendants conspired with others between January and May 2026 to kidnap pupils and teachers from the Oyo school. The case is still before the court, and the defendants have not been convicted.
