The Action Alliance has given the Independent National Electoral Commission 48 hours to review its published list of candidates for the 2027 general elections.

Daily Post and Vanguard reported that the party said names of its candidates were omitted from the list despite court judgments it said recognised the leadership of its National Chairman, Chief Barrister Kenneth Udeze.

The party made the demand in a statement issued on Sunday by Udeze. It asked INEC to correct the list and include the candidates it said were validly submitted.

Vanguard reported that the party tied its complaint to judgments it said affirmed Udeze’s leadership. Daily Post reported that the party warned it could take further steps if the commission failed to act within the 48-hour window.

INEC had not issued a fresh response in the two reports. The dispute adds another layer to the early legal and administrative arguments around preparations for the 2027 elections.
