Kano anti-graft agency gets acting chair after Yahaya resigns

Kano State’s anti-graft agency has a new acting chair after the resignation of Saidu Yahaya, the commission’s former chairman.
Daily Trust reported Yahaya’s resignation from the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, while Punch reported that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf appointed Hafsat Kutama as acting chairperson.
The two reports point to the same leadership change at the state anti-corruption body. Yahaya had led the commission during a period of high-profile state investigations and political scrutiny.
Kutama is expected to oversee the commission pending any further decision by the state government on a substantive appointment.
