Two Teenage Terrorists Surrender To Troops In Borno

Two teenage members of a terrorist group have surrendered to troops of Operation Hadin Kai in Monguno Local Government Area of Borno State.

The reports identified the teenagers as 17-year-old Umar Mohammed and 13-year-old Aliu Hassan. They were said to have left a terrorist camp and surrendered to troops around 7:15am on September 4.

The military account said the teenagers were received by troops of Sector 3 Operation Hadin Kai. The reports did not announce a court process or conviction, so the details remain an operational account from the security authorities.

The surrender comes amid continuing military operations in Borno, where troops have reported arrests, rescues and surrenders linked to armed groups in the North-East.
