Police Arrest Suspect Over Anambra Nursing Student’s Murder
Police in Anambra State have arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with the killing of Vivian Chilaka, a 23-year-old nursing student whose death in Alor drew public concern.
The command identified the suspect as Kosisochukwu Edward Ibekwe. Police said he was arrested on September 4 after investigators linked him to the case, which followed Chilaka’s reported death in Idemili South Local Government Area on June 14.
The reports said the command had earlier promised to track those involved after the case became public. Police said the suspect was being held as detectives continued work on the matter.
The case remains an allegation at this stage. The police account did not report a conviction, and further details are expected to come from the command as the investigation proceeds.
