Immigration Service Sets UK Passport Intervention For Four Cities
The Nigeria Immigration Service will run a passport intervention exercise in four United Kingdom cities in September to help Nigerians seeking new passports, renewals and resolution of pending applications.
The exercise is scheduled for London, Manchester, Aberdeen and Cardiff between September 7 and September 26, 2026, according to a statement by NIS spokesperson Akinsola Akinlabi.
London and Manchester will host the team from September 7 to 19. The London venue is Layali Lounge, Trent Park, Bramley Road, London N14 4UW, while the Manchester venue is Nigerian House, 23 Platt Lane, Manchester M14 5NE.
The team will move to Aberdeen and Cardiff from September 21 to 26. The Aberdeen exercise is listed for Hilton Convention Centre, 13 Smithfield Road, Aberdeen AB24 4NR, while Cardiff applicants are to use Sophia Gardens, Sophia Walk, Cardiff CF11 9XR.
The NIS said a passport intervention team from its Abuja headquarters will conduct the exercise following consultation with the Nigerian High Commission and representatives of Nigerian communities in the UK. The deployment was directed by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
Applicants are expected to apply and pay through the NIS passport portal before going to the venues. They are also to bring a completed application form, payment slip, appointment slip, self-addressed return envelope and, for renewals, the old passport.
