Ogun Police Arrest 16 Suspects In Operation KOSAYE Crackdown

Ogun State Police Command says it has arrested 16 suspects in a fresh Operation KOSAYE crackdown covering alleged diesel bunkering, vandalism, burglary, theft and defilement.

Punch and Daily Post both reported that the arrests were made between July 12 and July 21 across different parts of the state. The command said the operations followed intelligence, distress calls and investigations by police divisions.

Police listed recovered items to include two vehicles, a stolen motorcycle, four drums of suspected Automotive Gas Oil, 13 jerry cans of suspected diesel, a pumping machine and a generator. Daily Post reported that one diesel-bunkering suspect was arrested at Abule-Iroko, Sango.

The command also said detectives arrested suspects accused of vandalising telecommunications mast cables in Ota and recovered a mini truck conveying aluminium doors and window frames after armed men abandoned it on the Benin-Ore Expressway.
