Troops Rescue 13 Kidnap Victims In Zamfara Operations
Troops of the Joint Task Force North-West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have rescued 13 kidnapped victims during separate operations in Zamfara State.
The operations were reported in Anka and Kaura Namoda local government areas, where the troops also recovered two vehicles and disrupted suspected terrorist activity.
The task force said the rescue followed operations aimed at blocking armed groups and cutting off movement routes in the state. The victims were freed during the operation, while the recovered vehicles were taken into custody for further checks.
The same operation was reported by Daily Trust, which said the troops acted under Operation FANSAN YAMMA and rescued the 13 victims in Zamfara. Vanguard also reported that the troops foiled terrorists’ operations in the area.
Zamfara remains one of the North-West states where security forces have been carrying out repeated operations against kidnapping gangs and armed groups.
