Dangote Offers ₦500,000 Reward In Illegal Haulage Crackdown
Dangote Industries Limited has announced a whistleblower reward scheme as it moves to stop the illegal use of Dangote-branded trucks for unauthorised haulage.
The company said members of the public who provide credible information leading to the arrest of offenders or the interception of unauthorised goods and passengers could receive a ₦500,000 reward.
In a statement, Dangote Industries said the campaign was meant to protect its logistics operations and stop people from using its trucks to carry goods or persons outside approved company purposes.
The company said Dangote Cement trucks are authorised to carry only cement, limestone, high-grade gypsum, coal and clinker. Trucks belonging to Dangote Sugar Refinery are restricted to sugar products, while NASCON Allied Industries trucks may carry salt and seasoning products only.
It warned that any truck carrying items outside its approved cargo categories should be treated as suspicious and reported through the company’s whistleblower channels.
