Ogun State Police Command says it has arrested 43 suspects in a fresh raid under Operation Kosaye.

The command said the raid followed intelligence on a black spot around Isheri-Olofin, near Kara Cattle Market on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The suspects were identified in the reports as 28 males and 15 females. Police said the operation targeted alleged cult activity, drug abuse, prostitution and other crimes linked to the area.

Daily Trust reported that the suspects had been charged to court and remanded in correctional custody. The command said the latest arrests bring the number charged since the start of Operation Kosaye to 76.

Operation Kosaye is a joint Ogun-Lagos security push aimed at clearing forests, hideouts and border communities used by criminal groups.
