NDC gives Obi and Kwankwaso say in campaign council picks

The Nigeria Democratic Congress says Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso will nominate key officials for its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council in consultation with party leaders.

The party said the nominations would cover posts including director-general, deputy director-general for the North, campaign spokesman, deputy spokesman, head of new media, finance director and deputy finance director.

NDC National Publicity Secretary Osa Director said the arrangement followed consultations involving Obi, Kwankwaso and the party leadership. Punch reported that the party had prepared the council organogram since August and had also received nominations from stakeholders.

The announcement comes after the NDC earlier disowned a separate OK Movement campaign council list. NaijaTrend reported that dispute here.

The party said it would announce the full council list after the consultations are completed.
