Six Killed In Adamawa Tricycle Crash
Six people have died in a crash involving a tricycle on the Yola-Girei Road in Adamawa State.
The Adamawa State Police Command confirmed the accident on Friday. Police spokesman SP Suleiman Nguroje said a preliminary report showed that the victims were rushed to hospital, where they were confirmed dead.
Police operatives from Girei Divisional Headquarters, Federal Housing and the Central Motor Traffic Division were sent to the scene to evacuate the victims and restore traffic flow.
The police did not give full details of how the crash happened. Daily Post reported that a photo provided by the police showed a badly damaged tricycle.
Commissioner of Police Kabir Hassan commiserated with the families of the victims and urged motorists to avoid speeding and obey traffic rules.
