Delta police have arrested two suspected drug dealers after officers recovered 132 sachets of 100mg tramadol during a stop-and-search operation in Asaba.

Police spokesperson Bright Edafe said the suspects, Hillary Osondu, 54, and Abubakar Bello, 54, were arrested on August 13 by officers attached to Operation Delta Shield.

The officers had stopped a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number ZBL-549-XA along Nnebisi Road when the sachets were found during a search.

Police said the suspects were in custody and that investigation was ongoing.

The command also reported the recovery of a stolen Toyota Corolla in Warri after a separate complaint, while Commissioner of Police Yemi Oyeniyi urged officers to sustain proactive policing across the state.
