NYSC Warns Against Fake Redeployment Notice
The National Youth Service Corps has warned corps members and their families to ignore a viral redeployment notice circulating online.
The notice claimed a special redeployment window had been opened because of national security, health and general state-of-the-nation concerns. NYSC said the message was fake and did not come from the scheme.
The scheme said it had not announced any such window and advised corps members to rely only on official NYSC communication channels for redeployment information.
The fake message asked corps members with health, security or marital grounds to submit applications through their local government inspectors or state secretariats. NYSC said the document should be disregarded.
Punch and Daily Post both reported that NYSC flagged the notice on Friday through its verified X handle.
