Tinubu Appoints Yakubu Jang As Presidential Aide
President Bola Tinubu has appointed Yakubu Jang, son of former Plateau State governor Jonah Jang, as Senior Special Assistant in the Office of the President.
Vice President Kashim Shettima announced the appointment on Saturday in Jos while delivering Tinubu’s goodwill message at Jonah Jang’s 80th birthday celebration and book presentation.
Shettima said the appointment was made on behalf of the President. The reports did not state the exact portfolio assigned to Yakubu Jang.
The event drew political leaders and officials, including former President Goodluck Jonathan, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas and other federal and state officials.
The appointment was announced during the public presentation of Jonah Jang’s autobiography, where speakers paid tribute to his career as a former military administrator, governor and senator.
