Police Open Probe After Kwara Farmer Is Found Dead On Cocoa Farm
The Kwara State Police Command has opened an investigation after a farmer, Azeez Garba, was found dead on his cocoa farm in Isin Local Government Area.
Police said Garba, also identified as Abdulazeez Abubakar Abiodun, had deep machete wounds when his body was found along the Owa-Onire axis.
His family began searching for him after he left home for the farm on July 11 and did not return. The Commissioner of Police, Ojo Adekimi, has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department to take over the case.
The command said investigators would use available intelligence resources to identify and arrest those responsible.
