Gunmen suspected to be bandits attacked multiple communities in Kwara State on Thursday night, abducting at least two residents and leaving one person dead in a separate exchange of gunfire.
According to Channels TV, the attacks were carried out simultaneously at about 10 p.m. in Gaa-Alla and Gaa-Oke Abba communities in Isin Local Government Area, and in Famole Community in Ifelodun Local Government Area.
The state Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, confirmed that two people were abducted in Gaa-Alla Community, and said the police, in conjunction with the military and forest guards, were on the trail of the assailants.
