CBN Redeploys Four Deputy Governors in Management Shake-Up
The Central Bank of Nigeria has redeployed four of its deputy governors in a fresh shake-up of the apex bank’s management structure.
The redeployment, which took effect on Monday, affects the deputy governors in charge of Economic Policy, Financial System Stability, Operations, and Corporate Services, according to sources familiar with the development.
The move is seen as part of ongoing efforts to reposition the central bank’s leadership ahead of new policy initiatives, including the recently unveiled Payment Systems Vision 2028, which targets 95 per cent financial inclusion and faster money transfers across the country.
This management shake-up follows continued reforms by the CBN Governor aimed at stabilising the naira, taming inflation, and restoring confidence in the banking sector.
