Enugu Air says its Lagos–London Gatwick service will begin in December, after the United Kingdom granted a permit to its operating partner, Omni-Blu Aviation.

Aviation Metric reported that the UK Civil Aviation Authority signed the permit on 4 November. It authorises Omni-Blu to run scheduled Lagos–Gatwick–Lagos services until 27 March 2027 under the Nigeria–UK air-services agreement. The report said operations start on 1 December.

The publication said Omni-Blu will launch with four weekly flights. The permit names EuroAtlantic Airways Transportes Aéreos as the wet-lease operator for the service.

Enugu Air, which is owned by the Enugu State government, said in a statement that bookings were open and that Omni-Blu is its designated operating partner. The statement, which Premium Times published as a press release, said the announcement came about six weeks after Enugu Air’s first international flight, to Douala, Cameroon, on 23 September.

Aviation Metric reported that the service would make Omni-Blu the second Nigerian carrier on the London route, after Air Peace, and that four Nigerian weekly frequencies would remain unused after the launch.

Enugu Air’s statement gave December as the start; Aviation Metric reported 1 December, citing the carrier’s promoters. The service has not yet begun.
