Edo State police have opened an investigation into an alleged attack on entertainer MC Porcupine in Benin City.
Police spokesperson Eno Ikoedem said the entertainer was reportedly attacked by suspected hoodlums while returning from a party. The command announced the investigation in a statement on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
Commissioner of Police Patrick Daaor ordered investigators to establish the circumstances of the incident and identify those involved. The command said anyone found culpable would be brought to justice.
Ikoedem urged anyone with information that could assist the investigation to contact police. She also asked members of the public to remain calm and allow investigators to carry out their work.
