Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage will host the grand finale concert for over 100 emerging creatives at the National Theatre in Lagos on Sunday, April 26, capping off the inaugural Tiwa Savage Music Foundation training programme.

The event, tagged “Berklee in Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Emerging Musicianship Intensive,” ran from April 22 to 26 in partnership with Berklee College of Music, providing hands-on training in performance, songwriting, music production, and the business of music.

From training to stage

The concert, anchored by Darey Art Alade and Kie Kie, will showcase ensemble performances and original compositions developed during the training. Scholarship awards will also be presented to standout participants.

Tiwa Savage said the initiative reflects her mission to bridge the gap between talent and access in Africa’s creative industry. “I want the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation to be a bridge that connects African talent to global opportunities,” she said.

Beyond artist development

“I don’t just want to launch artists; I want to build leaders, producers, executives, and owners who will shape the future of the music industry,” she added. The partnership with Berklee College of Music brought international-calibre instruction to the programme, giving Nigerian talent access to the same quality of training available in more established music markets.
