Police launch rescue effort after three CRIN workers abducted in Ibadan
Three workers at the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria in Ibadan have been abducted, and Oyo State police say they have launched a rescue operation and a manhunt for those responsible.
The workers were inspecting crops on a farm within the institute’s premises when they were taken, according to police spokesperson Olayinka Ayanlade.
Ayanlade confirmed the abduction in a statement issued in Ibadan on Friday.
Police asked anyone with credible information to report to the nearest police station or use the command’s established emergency channels to assist the operation.
