Moove has announced that it will end its Nigerian operations and transfer eligible vehicles worth about N35 billion to the customers operating them without further payment for the vehicles themselves.
The mobility company announced the exit on Thursday, six years after it was founded in Lagos. Its statement said the ownership arrangement applies from October 1, 2026, and that all staff members would also receive a free car.
According to the statement published by Premium Times, Moove will work directly with affected customers and employees to conclude operations and complete the transfers. The announcement refers to eligible vehicles rather than an unconditional transfer of every vehicle.
Ladi Delano and Jide Odunsi founded Moove in 2020 to provide vehicle financing for mobility workers. The company began with 76 vehicles in Lagos and developed rental and drive-to-own products.
Moove said it had served more than 9,000 customers in Nigeria through those products and that customers generated approximately N57 billion in revenue using Moove-financed vehicles.
The company said its global business now operates 42,000 vehicles across 29 cities. Co-founder Ladi Delano thanked Nigerian customers and employees for helping build the business as it grew internationally.
