NNPCL reports N7.2tn profit for 2025
NNPC Limited says it recorded N7.2tn profit after tax in 2025, up from N5.4tn in 2024.
Group Chief Executive Officer Bayo Ojulari disclosed the figures in Abuja on Tuesday while presenting the company’s 2025 audited financial results. The company reported N34.5tn in revenue for the year.
Premium Times and Punch reported that the profit figure represented about a 33 per cent rise, even though revenue was lower because of weaker oil prices and reduced petroleum product sales. Daily Trust reported that NNPCL described the profit as coming from its N34.5tn revenue.
Ojulari also said taxes, royalties and other remittances to the government rose to about N22.3tn. Daily Trust reported average production of 1.77 million barrels per day of crude oil and 7.2 billion standard cubic feet per day of gas.
The company said the result reflected stronger operating discipline, while the audited statement showed pressure from lower revenue during the year.
